The World of Lovecraft

A rgueably the most influential author of horror in the first part of the twentiety century is H. P. Lovecraft.

The following are among my personal favorites...

  • The Hound (1922)

Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) is still resonating throughout the world of horror. In addition to directly influencing the genre and several of its prominent authors (including Robert Bloch), his works became the basis interest in odd geometry as a portal to other worlds - beliefs held by the Order of the Trapezoid, an offshoot of a well-known diabolical cult that I dare not mention by name.

Of special prominence among his works is the Necronomicon, which has become often referenced, adapted and even re-created.
