eBay Two-Layer Antique Kit, 2012

In January 2012 eBay featured this attractive two-layer vampire killing kit, priced well below 'retail' at $4,500. With a few days to go, there were very few viewers and no active bids. The seller was kind enough to provide extensive photographic documentation, reproduced here, which include the vial labels.

The seller's description reads:
Rare Early Vampire Killing Kit

$4,500

RARE EARLY PIECE VERY SIMILAR TO THE ONE THAT SOLD AT SOTHEBY'S AUCTION A FEW YEARS AGO. DOUBLE TIER HEAVY MAHOGANY LOCKING BOX WITH KEY (MISSING LOCKING MECHANISM), MEASURING ABOUT 12 3/4" X 8" X 4". APPEARS TO BE COMPLETE WITH ALL IT'S ORIGINAL CONTENTS IN PLACE. AN EXTREMELY RARE AND HARD TO FIND ITEM!! THE PERFECT PIECE FOR AN ODDITIES AND RARITIES MUSEUM!!!

AS ACQUIRED OUT OF AN ANTIQUE ESTATE SALE.

AUCTION ESTIMATE: $8500.00 - $14,500.00 (Based on similar lots sold at major Auction Houses)

Just an observation, but the 'brimstone' (sulfur) does not seem as yellow as the actual powdered element.

As with many post-2011 kits at market, there is no Blomberg Label, a possible indication that the use of such a label is has become liability to a kit's authenticity. Alternately, it is simply not a Blomberg kit.
